Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke (aka Davido), has postponed his forthcoming music festival tagged, ‘Are We Africans Yet (A.W.A.Y).
This announcement comes few days after the unfortunate death of the singer’s three-year-old son, Ifeanyi.
The music festival which was scheduled to hold on November 18, 2022 at the 20,000-capacity State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, has been rescheduled for November 18, 2023.
The show was to have several top African stars like; Mayorkun, Stonebwoy, BNXN, Kizz Daniel, Pheelz, Lojay and other artists perform.
This was contained in a statement posted on the Festival’s Instagram page, where it was revealed that the one-day event will now hold next year.

“We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023. To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honoured for the 2023 date.
“We understand that you must be disappointed but we promise to come back with a bigger and better show. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to seeing you all in the near future.”
Quest Times had on Wednesday reported that a recent check on Davido’s verified Instagram page showed that he’s made some changes by deleting his highlights with giant sports brand PUMA.
The check further showed that Davido also deleted all his pinned posts; he also deleted his anticipated festival post, A.W.A.Y, which was slated to take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on November 18, 2022.
Also, Davido, who has 25.8M followers on his verified Instagram page and following 1,677 before the death of his son, made changes as he unfollowed three (3) accounts.
Further reports claim that Davido allegedly unfollowed his late son Ifeanyi’s IG account, DJ Cuppy and Femi Otedola.
