Twitter has been yapping since the story of Tinubu’s alleged involvement in drug trafficking and money laundering back in the 1990s, resurfaced online this week.
Abike, a former member of the House of Representatives, was slammed based on her relationship with the presidential candidate and based on a comment she made two weeks ago saying: “Unfortunately, the sad reality is that our crime rate over there is one of the highest.” To which Reality TV star Natacha Akidi aka Tacha replied, saying: “Can you put a stats to these claims?? Very shameless somebody.”
Some Twitter users called out Abike for always mounting the bully pulpit on Nigerians trafficking in drugs abroad and for stereotyping Nigerians abroad, while her acquaintance is an alleged drug dealer.

Some of the tweets QUEST TIMES monitored are:
“Madam with the wanted drug baron who was implicated by a court in the U.S.” @ChudeMedia
@Latid13 said this must be a relief for Abike Dabiri. Bola Tinubu has vindicated her that Nigerians traffic drugs.
“Abike Dabiri, the biggest destroyer of Nigeria’s dignity is the octogenarian you support, the drug dealer, and not the helpless young Nigerians you denigrate here, says @FS_Yusuf_
“Abike Dabiri’s page is littered with pictures of the Nigerian Pablo Escobar, Bola Tinubu. Coincidentally some weeks ago she shamed Nigerians abroad calling them drug peddlers. Life comes at you really fast ehn. @Nkemchor_
Madam Dabiri is yet to respond to any allegation laid on Tinubu or to any of the tweets.
As at the time of filing this report, #Tinubuthedrugdealer was trending at Number 2 on Twitter.
