Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, got his audience rolling in laughter on Tuesday, after he jovially revisited the drama between himself and the Vice Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Kashim Shettima, that played out just before the APC presidential primary election in June.
Appearing as a guest on a TV programme at the time, Shettima had said Osinbajo (who was contesting for the APC presidential ticket) is a nice man, but that nice people are better off selling ice cream and pocorn.
Osinbajo clapped back this week, labelling Shettima ‘the Chairman and majority shareholder of his ice-cream-producing company.’
Osinbajo shaded the former governor when he took to the podium to deliver his speech during the book launch of Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, at the Nigeria Air Force Conference Centre in Abuja.

Shettima had described Osinbajo, in the build-up to the presidential primary, as a decent man who should be selling popcorn and ice cream.

But, in a subtle counter-attack, an elated Osinbajo teased on Tuesday, “I welcome the vice presidential candidate who is running on the platform of APC, Distinguished Senator Kashim Shettima, who is also the majority shareholder and chairman of Yemi Osinbajo Ice Cream Company.”
As the audience laughed boisterously at the joke, a blushing Shettima reacted uncomfortably in his seat as he watched from the sidelines.
