Following this, Nigerians took to the micro-blogging site with the trend ‘Where is Tinubu?’. The trend, which blew up on Thursday, Sept 29, has garnered thousands of tweets as of the time of filing this report.
This question comes as the APC postponed its campaign council inauguration indefinitely while other political parties started their campaigns officially on Wednesday.
Popular activist, Aisha Yesufu tweeted, “My stance has never wavered and I pray to God it doesn’t. I am interested in Nigeria not the leaders. They are there to serve us. ‘Where is Tinubu?’ is trending. Same question I asked seven years ago of their then presidential candidate.”
Penking said, “This is exactly how Buhari played hide and seek with us before the election until he won and ghosted all of us. Tinubu is planning to play the same card but Nigerians know better now. Election has commenced. Where is Tinubu?”
“We started asking ‘Where is Buhari?’ after he was elected. We are now asking ‘Where is Tinubu?’ even before election. Affliction shall not rise the second time,” Darlington tweeted.
