The Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has warned opposition Senators to tread very softly on their threat to impeach President Buhari if he fails to tackle the rising spate of insecurity in six (6) weeks.
Sen Kwankwaso made the statement when he paid a courtesy call to the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in Ilorin.
Recall that on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, the Minority Leader of the Senate, Philip Aduda (PDP-FCT) in a point of order raised, stated that the minority Senators will begin impeachment proceedings against Buhari if he doesn’t tackle the insecurity currently ravaging the nation.

Speaking on the issue, Kwankwaso said, “I don’t know the facts that they have. But as their former colleague, I want them to tread very softly.
“They should not be in a hurry to rock the boat.
“Yes, I know they have reasons to be worried, I am sure everybody in this country is worried about insecurity; because some of these things could happen to anybody, even the presidential fleet was attacked in Katsina State. So, I think we need to do more.”
