The Director of Media and Communications of the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign oragnisation, Bayo Onanuga, has said that the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate will base his 2023 campaign on the track records of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Onanuga said this during ARISE TV’S The Morning Show when he said the present administration has achieved a lot.
He blamed the media for under-reporting the gains recorded under the current administration in the last seven years.

He said “Don’t forget in a hurry that when President Buhari came into office in 2015, he met a quite daunting challenge in the North eastern part of Nigeria. And today, that challenge is almost gone.”
He went further “Some weeks ago, the UN Secretary-General was in Nigeria and commended this government that many of us in the media [in the opposition] keeps deriding as having done nothing.
“The Maiduguri he met [referring to US Secretary-General, António Guterres] seven years ago is not the one he met this year when he came. That shows you that something is happening.”
He said there seem to be a conspiracy in the mediaagainst the APC for under-reporting the gains made in security. He said the media has not been reporting the stories of successes of the security agencies against bandits in the North.
“In our estimation, this government has done a lot”, Onanuga said.
