There is no love lost for the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen Bola Tinubu on Twitter, following the failure of his candidate, Gov Gboyega Oyetola in the 2022 Osun State Governorship election.

Sen Ademola Adeleke (PDP) defeated the incumbent Oyetola, scoring 403,371 votes to emerge Governor-Elect of Osun State on Sunday, July 17, 2022.

Recall that Tinubu fell out with his political ally, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola over his insistence on the emergence of Oyetola as flagbearer of the APC. Going further, during a campaign rally, he called out the Labour Party, saying they will labour till death. A statement which incited supporters of the LP.

In the aftermath of the announcement of the election results, Twitter users in their droves took to the platform to take shots at Tinubu. Some attacked his so-called grip on the South-West describing it as a myth, while others who were offended by his comments on the LP used the opportunity to call him out.

"Tinubu is a strategic Politician " 🤡🤡🤡
Where is the strategy please? Can we now admit his strategy all this while has been vote buying and thuggery ? Now that we have a new INEC Act the strategy has disappeared 🌚🌚
The APC will lose in 2023. Mark this tweet !

@DemolaRewaju Tinubu’s loss in Osun is an emphatic signal of how he will lose in 2023. In a few weeks, people will forget this moment but history will look back and reference #OsunDecides as where the demystification and deconstruction of Bola Tinubu started. Our work here is now done.

@MrTomide I have moved past Osun election since around 6:30 pm yesterday when it was obvious we won. I’m now focused on the Presidential election where Bola Tinubu will struggle in the Southwest and won’t win up to 15 states nationally. Congrats in Advance, @atiku

Tinubu don go 'olule' for Osun 😂

@RealOlaudah ‘m happy about the change of guard in Bola Tinubu‘s home state of Osun. I’m happy that his nephew has been defeated yet again, and this time around the people will resist his greed and meddlesomeness. I look for to the liberation of Lagos State soon. #OsunDecides2022

If Tinubu was our president, no other political party asides the APC will win. He will not allow that to happen. I commend Buhari for not interfering in any elections abeg.

@chekwube_ Stop focusing on Obi and LP, understand that Tinubu personally went to campaign in Osun, insulted the other parties in his usual ignorant manner, only for APC to be losing this badly to the PDP. Fugazi Jagaban.

@SantosTHEBOSS So Tinubu and APC “Labored to death” on their ownership of Osun? Poetic.

@Seyi_ Those who think it will be a smooth ride to Aso Rock for Tinubu should start re-strategising. The road is rough.

Osun done and dusted. 2023 will follow suit (God willing). PDP all the way. This is a winning train. Whoever stands in the way will run away like Tinubu ran from Osun. Congratulations Adeleke. Imole lokan. Atiku lo ma kan ni 2023. L’agbara Jesu!#TableShaker #OsunDecides2022
