Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister for Information, has described the threat by terrorists to kidnap President Muhammadu Buhari as laughable, and propaganda.
Mohammed made the statement after the hybrid Federal Executive Council (FEC) which held on Wednesday, July 26, 2022.
The Quest Times reports that terrorists in a viral video on July 24, 2022, threatened to kidnap President Buhari and the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.

In a response to the video, Mohammed described it as more of propaganda than anything else.
He said, “As to those who have issued threats to Mr President, I think it is more of propaganda than anything, it is laughable,” Mr Mohammed said on Wednesday.
“I want to reassure you that the government is up to the task of ensuring security. Security challenges will come anywhere in the world. The important thing is the fact that you do not lose focus and you continue to work assiduously to overcome it.
“I want to assure you, we are going to overcome.”
