Aisha Yusufu, a well-known human rights activist, has described the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) conduct during the presidential election as blatantly stealing people’s mandates, which is unacceptable.
In the midst of INEC’s results declaration controversy, she made this known on her verified Twitter handle.
She said: “This is it! All we needed was for free and fair plus credible election. If we lost so be it. We would have continued campaign for gubernatorial election and after that we start our campaign for 2027!
“This blatant stealing of people’s mandate is unacceptable.”
