Police in Lagos have revealed that Sylvester Oromoni died of natural causes.

Speaking further on the matter, the Commissioner of Police for Lagos, Hakeem Odumosu, revealed that the 12-year-old didn’t die of turture or poisoning as earlier believed.

The police have since released the students who were mentioned by Sylester as the cause for his demise, clearing them of all wrongdoing.

The police also determined that the school has done nothing wrong and therefore is free to re-open.

This conclusion, according to Odumosu, was the conclusion of Dr S. Soyemi, the consultant pathologist who led a team of pathologists to conduct an autopsy.

Acting in line with the legal advice of the Lagos Director of Public Prosecution (DPP)  Ms Adetutu Oshinusi, Odumosu says the two autopsies conducted rules out murder.

Septicaemia, lobar pneumonia with acute pyelonephritis, pyomyositis of the right ankle and acute bacteria pneumonia, all due to severe sepsis led to the death of Sylvester, he said.

On the other hand, Sylvester’s sister–and even his mother have taken to social media to accuse the Lagos state government.

According to them, the state government is working with his murderers to silence them and avert judgement.

They have also said that Sylvester never died of natural causes
