Kiddwaya, a former housemate of the reality TV show Big Brother Naija, has received criticisms from social media users for his recent comments advising Nigerians to focus on their hustles now that the elections are over.
The reality star took to his official Twitter page to encourage young people to move on with their lives and focus on their personal goals after the results of the general elections were announced.
Kiddwaya also congratulated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a fantastic general election.
He tweeted, “‘‘Congratulations @inecnigeria on concluding a fantastic election . It’s now time for everyone to refocus their energy/time on more important things. Yourself!!’’
However, his comments were not well received by some Nigerians, who criticized him for not acknowledging the issues that were raised during the election and for not encouraging young people to participate in the political process.
Some social media users accused him of being out of touch with the reality of the country’s political climate and urged him to use his platform to promote positive change.
