Nigerian Twitter has reacted with sadness following the announcement of a 10-year ban slapped on sprinter Blessing Okagbare for doping and failing to cooperate with the attendant investigation.
The Athletes Integrity Unit (AIU) in a statement on Friday, 18th February, 2022 revealed the ban, saying Okagbare has 30 days to appeal the verdict at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
