It is no news that Ramon Abbas, commonly known as Hushpuppi, Hush or Ray Hushpuppi has been in the news for months, owing to his larger than life way of life.
But he ran out of luck when men of the Dubai Police Force nabbed him for arguably one of the biggest fraud offences history can record.
More recently, according to multiple reports, he is set to serve jail time in California prison, unpopular for its overcrowded nature.

Who is Hushpuppi?
Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi is a Nigerian Instagram personality that was originally based in Malaysia but later relocated to Dubai because of its status as one of the most elite socialites in the world.
He became super famous not just in Nigeria, but also in US, Europe and some parts of Asia for his excessive display of wealth on social media (the big boyz geng).
Hushpuppi was never shy when it comes to flaunting his wealth online. He would always post pictures of himself in his million-dollar mansion, posing with fast and expensive cars, and his extravagant lifestyles.
His Net Worth
Born in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub, Hushpuppi boasts of over $150 million (₦62 billion) estimated net worth, according to reports provided by FBI. Though there is no official statement to back this claim.
Age and Origin
Hushpuppi was born on June 14, 1988. Although his state of origin is unknown, he is known to come from the Yoruba tribe of the Southwestern part of Nigeria and grew up on the streets of Oworonshoki in Lagos.

His Arrest
Hushpuppi and ten (10) other individuals were arrested by the Dubai Police when they were about to carry out an operation dubbed “Fox Hunt 2”.
Hushpuppi’s girlfriend Amira Dyme, who he met in Dubai hasn’t made any statement since his arrest.
On apprehending Hushpuppi and his colleagues, the Dubai police charged them for money-laundering, criminal impersonation, cyber fraud and other crimes outside the United Arab Emirates.
The operation “Fox Hunt 2” which was the last straw that broke the camel’s back, was worth the sum of $435 million (about ₦168 billion). That is massive! But this Money Heist failed as Prof Hushpuppi was caught red-handed with his cohorts. Let’s wait for the outcome of his sentence come February 14, 2022. Before then, au revoir!
