Social media has erupted in excitement following the electoral victory of Sen Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2022 Osun governorship election.
Adeleke was declared winner after scoring 403,371 votes, with Oyetola coming 2nd with 375,027.
Reacting to Adeleke’s victory, Nigerians took to Twitter to congratulate the dancing Senator and the PDP, some others hailed the people of Osun State for coming out en masse to vote.

Others saw it as an opportunity to fire shots at the Presidential candidate of the APC, Sen Bola Tinubu who backed Oyetola, saying the Osun polls is a sign of things to come in 2023.
