The visit of Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 presidential election to Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, triggered reactions on social media on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.

Prior to his defection to the Labour Party, Obi and Wike were both presidential aspirants in the race for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket.

@FrUgochukwu Politics aside, Peter Obi is preaching to all of us with his life & actions. I listened to his response when asked about Fr Mbaka’s statement & now seeing him with Wike after Wike’s comments. We’ve a lot to learn from Peter Obi not just in the area of governance but about life.

@VictorIsrael_ Doing the Primaries, Wike said nasty things about @PeterObi. He never responded, instead he said good things about Wike and went ahead to visit Wike in Port Harcourt. Peter Obi is the Unifier Atiku thinks he is. May we never lose this golden opportunity to have a normal President

@Sports_Doctor2 If you’re looking for a “Unifier”, it’s Peter Obi, after everything Wike did to him and said about him both on national TV and in his state, Anambra, Peter Obi has gone to visit him in Port Harcourt. PETER OBI IS RARE!!!

Wike called Obi's bluff and mentioned how lightweight Obi is. Many here were serious offended with his statement and attacked PDP for this. Today, Obi is in Port Harcourt to see Wike, a member of PDP, throwing y'all under the bus. Keep fighting. Keep trolling. You go tire

@TheOluwadarmie Wike don turn hot cake. Just today, Peter Obi visited him. The same thing Bala Mohammed did.

@eddyunlimited Peter obi has suddenly realized that he can’t do all this all alone, that he needs to woo people to his side. Good for him Wike Mr President

@TTeghtegh If I were Chief Peter Obi I won’t go to Wike because it won’t work. The man fights everyone in sight for no just cause. It’s won’t work with him.
