The Imo State Police Command has recovered the body of the Chairman, Ejemekwuru Customary Court, Nnaemeka Ugboma, who was killed during a court session in the premises of Ejemekwuru Customary Court, on Thursday.

In a release issued on Friday evening and made available to newsmen, the Command’s spokesman, ASP Henry Okoye, said “about five gunmen had stormed the Ejemekuru Customary Court in Oguta LGA of Imo State, shot the Customary Court president, Nnemeka Ugboma ‘m’ from Oguta LGA and dumped his corpse at the back of the court building,” where his men went and recovered it and deposited it at the mortuary.

He disclosed that investigation on the incident was ongoing as the tactical teams of the command had been deployed to the area to track down the assassins, apprehend them and make them face the full wrath of the law.

He assured that further development on the matter would be communicated to members of the public.
