The Police Command in Lagos on Friday reacted to the allegation that some suspected political thugs invaded St. Brigid Catholic Church ljesha, Surulere, disrupting officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission from registering people for the Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC).
The spokesperson for the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said in a tweet that the INEC officials were at the wrong location, adding that the Catholic Church was not an approved registration centre for today’s (Friday) exercise.
“The INEC officials were assigned to Imam Thani Street by House No 9A for today’s exercise. They were, however, found within the church premises. Residents raised concern & informed the police.
