Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, thousands of supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, popularly called ‘OBIdient Movement’ converged on strategic parts in Lagos, Kaduna, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Bauchi, among other States of the federation.
In Lagos, the supporters defied the early morning downpour amid tight security, to hold the rally.
Major streets and roads were taken over by the campaigners, thereby causing gridlock in the nation’s commercial hub.

Similarly, in Kaduna State, supporters of Obi dared the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to hold rallies across major towns of the state.
From Kaduna town to Zaria and other neighbouring towns, supporters of Obi in their thousands could be seen dancing and jubilating along the road against all odds.
The story was not different in Akwa Ibom as OBIdient members who are mostly young Nigerians, held a major rally in Uyo, the State capital.
Quest Times understands that this is coming shortly after political parties kicked-off campaigns for the 2023 general elections expected to hold in February.
