A socio-political activist, Reno Omokri, has lauded the response of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to the punches thrown at him by the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Charles Soludo.
Recall that Soludo had on Monday unleashed a written attack on Obi over the backlash against him by supporters of the Labour Party.
Obi’s supporters were provoked by the governor’s recent remark that Obi’s investment in the state during his spell as governor, is “now worth next to nothing.”
The governor, in a lengthy article on Monday, declared that Peter Obi will not win the fast-approaching February 2023 election, saying jumping from party to party will not help him.
In his response to Soludo’s bashing, Peter Obi, who was a guest at the 2022 Lagos Business School Alumni Conference, on Tuesday, described Soludo as his brother who is more intelligent than he is—a response that earned him applause from the audience.

“He (Soludo) remains my brother. For other things (that) I did not succeed (in doing), God has given him the opportunity to succeed.
“For me, you don’t finish governance. You stop where you stop and other people continue from there.
“He is the governor of my state, he is my senior brother and he is even more intelligent than me because he is a professor and I’m a trader,” Obi said.
Reacting, Omokri, a staunch supporter of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, said in a podcast posted on his Twitter handle, that he was impressed by Peter Obi’s classy response.
“I must say I was very impressed with his (Peter Obi) response. It was very presidential and classy. He did not respond in kind. He was generous to Governor Soludo,” he said.
