The events of the court proceedings in the trial of the Publicity Secretary of the state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chika Nwoba, has now become the object of national discourse.
Nwoba was arrested by Ebubeagu operatives on Sunday and handed over to the police.
It is still unclear what the charges against him are.
Quest Times can confirm that a pale, weak-looking Nwoba was brought into court yesterday by 5 men.
Although his session was scheduled to start around 2:45pm, it was postponed on account of his ill health.
At some point, he had to be rushed out of the court premises.
There was no explanation as to why.
When he was brought back, his lawyer explained that he was sick and too weak to go through the rigours of court sitting.
The trial judge, Justice Blessing Chukwu ordered the police to take him to the Police clinic and attend to his health.
At some point, he fell and became motionless.
Nwoba did not respond to his name when called.
In fact, he was held all through the session–even while seated.
The matter has been adjourned to January 14th on account of his ill health
