Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, has expressed anger over how the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration managed the excess crude account.
Recall that the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation revealed on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, that Nigeria’s Excess Crude Account (ECA) was depleted to $376,655 in July from $35.7 million recorded the previous month.
This represents a significant decrease in the nation’s retained crude export earnings.

The ECA is a savings account retained by the Federal Government and is funded by the difference between the market price of crude oil and the budgeted price of crude oil as contained in the appropriation bill.
Reacting, Pastor Enenche in a video clip obtained by Quest Times, lamented the sudden depletion of Nigeria’s excess crude account, while calling out the ruling party for “mismanaging the economy.”
His words; “If this spending (by Federal Government) continues for four months, there will be no money to import anything. God should deliver us from total collapse.
“Side-by-side with that is the release of government money for the purchase of vehicles for neighbouring country called Niger Republic in billions (N1.4bn) to enhance their security. What happened to us? What brought us to these groups of gangs? This is gangsterism! Who handed us over to these gangsters?
“The country (Nigeria) is poor and yet the country is being duped. This is dupery!”
