Osinbajo expresses empathy for Lagos train-bus crash victims, prays for comfort

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has expressed sympathy over the accident involving a Lagos State BRT staff bus and a train, which killed six people and left scores injured at the Shogunle area of Ikeja.

Osinbanjo in a message sent to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, prayed for the victims and their families for healing and comfort. While he expressed his sadness over the unfortunate incident on Wednesday.

“We commiserated earlier today with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the unfortunate train accident that occurred this morning with the BRT bus. We pray for God’s comfort for the families that have lost their loved ones and a speedy recovery for those injured,” he said.

Lagos BRT bus and a train carrying workers to their places of work, collided on Thursday morning, killing about six people and leaving many injured.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State had already declared three days of mourning for victims of the accident, while suspending his campaign.
