One of Nigeria’s paramount rulers, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ile-Ife on Tuesday, officially welcomed his new wife, Olori Mariam Anako, into the palace.
Photos of the event were shared by celebrated Nigerian journalist, Dele Momodu, who captured the beautiful moments.
This is coming barely seven months after Ooni’s estranged wife, Naomi Silekunola, announced their separation on social media.

Mariam Anako was born in Ebiraland, Kogi, but grew up in Ilorin, Kwara where her parents were based. She lost her father at a very tender age.
Mariam was raised in the home of former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Dikko.
Her mother is a retired police officer.
According to the information extracted from her LinkedIn profile, Olori Mariam is an administrative manager in an oil and gas firm that is also into engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Mariam’s elder sibling, Mrs Raliat Abdulrahman nee Anako is a Special Adviser to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.
It will interest you to note that Mariam’s elder sister, Medina Anako is a lawyer, businesswoman, and also Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs and Kogi State, Diaspora Focal Point Officer (DFPO) to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi.
She becomes the fourth wife of Ooni after the last union with Prophetess Naomi Ogunwusi was dissolved in December 2021.
Her mother is a retired police officer.
