It was like a Nollywood drama as a swarm of bees on Saturday disrupted a rally organised by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi.
In a video obtained by Quest Times, some APC supporters were seen scampering for safety while others were using their brooms to chase the bees away.
The APC had organised a road walk in Ihima, Okene, to campaign for all candidates of the party from the area.

Quest Times understands that the State Governor Yahaya Bello and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kogi Central senatorial candidate, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, are both from the town.
In 2019, Akpoti was a governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party in the state, challenging Governor Yahaya Bello.
“Bees have disrupted our road walk in Okene, Kogi State,” a party member told newsmen.
Another source who spoke to our reporter described the incident as a “Nollywood drama”.
“It was like I was watching Nollywood movie when I saw some of the supporters running from the venue of the rally. It was an eyesore,” the source said.
This is coming on the heels of the “gbas gbos” between the PDP senatorial candidate (Natasha) in the constituency and the State Governor (Yahaya Bello). The latter had accused Natasha of sponsoring terrorism in the state, a development the former considered as a sponsored attack against her growing popularity in the state.
