The Director-General, Asiwaju Tinubu-Shettima Coalition for Good Governance, Abdur-raheem Adebayo Shittu, was captured during a one-on-one with Arise Television, expressing displeasure while fielding questions on the Muslim-Muslim ticket adopted by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The APC chieftain was displeased when asked by Arise TV anchor, Rufai Oseni to comment on the controversial Muslim-Muslim ticket that some people argued has split his party down the middle.
“I must also say I’m disappointed in the person (referring to Rufai) that is raising this question.

“You (Rufai) are jumping from one scenario to another, and I want to assure you that I’m competent to respond appropriately to everything you want to misinform the public about.
“We’re talking about the Ogun scenario, how does that translate to the issue of the so-called Muslim-Muslim ticket? I don’t know you and I don’t know your name (referring to Rufai) but I want to say this, it is the press that is making a mountain out of a molehill.
“The man Shettima was not appointed because he is a Muslim but because he came from another region (North-East) of this country. It will be very stupid of an aspirant or candidate not to do his calculation very well if he is going to an election. You can’t harass me Mr Rufai Oseni,” he said.
He, however, opined that Tinubu chose Shettima based on “political calculations that will earn him credible votes come 2023 and also a masterstroke to disorganise the opposition.”
The former minister further flared up when fielding another question from Arise TV’s Tundun Abiola who said a lot of people would be buoyed by the former’s confidence.
In response, the APC chieftain who mistook the word “buoy” as offensive said; “You say I’m combative. So, what is your problem about my being confident? You’re supposed to be balanced.”
