A staff of Fidelity Bank, Emmanuel Ebere who slumped at the Awolowo, Ikoyi branch in Lagos, has been confirmed dead.
Quest Times gathered that Ebere who was attached to the Information and Communication Technology unit of the bank was said to have slumped while on duty and was immediately rushed to the Military hospital, Ikoyi, where doctors confirmed him dead.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundenyi, who confirmed the incident, said that the corpse has been evacuated and deposited at the Marina General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
He said; “Based on the report, a team of detectives from the Ikoyi Division visited the hospital and examined the corpse. No mark of violence was seen on the body. Corpse has been evacuated and deposited at the Marina General Hospital morgue for autopsy.”
Similarly, two men working on an elevator in a building on Alexander road, Ikoyi, have been reportedly electrocuted.
SP Hundeyin who also confirmed the incident said the two workers identified as Samson Gbemileke, 32, and Henry Dozie, 37, were rushed to Ever Care hospital in Lekki where Henry Dozie was confirmed dead, while the second victim survived.
“The corpse has been deposited in the Island General hospital morgue, Marina for autopsy. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing,” he added.
