Musiliu Akinsanya, (well known as MC Oluomo), the chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, has issued a severe warning to Igbo residents of Lagos state in advance of the March 11 gubernatorial and State Assembly elections.
In a recent party meeting themed ‘Lagos Rising,’ All Progressive Chieftain, (APC) Mc Oluomo advised Igbo people in the state to sit in their houses on election day if they were not going to vote for the ruling party.
Speaking in Yoruba, the APC chieftain noted that they have begged the igbos, and if they still insist on voting their candidate, they should sit at home rather than come out on election day.
In his words: “Iya Chukwudi, if you do want to vote for us, abeg sit down for home ooo, we have begged you people, don’t come out on election day.”
LP presidential flagbearer Peter Obi defeated Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a candidate for the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC), in his stronghold to win the presidential election conducted in Lagos State on Saturday, February 25.
Obi received 582,454 votes in Lagos, defeating Tinubu, who received 572,606, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 75,750 votes.
Following Obi’s success in Lagos during the presidential elections, his fans have promised to do the same for Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the governorship contender.
