Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, warned the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari about its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, over his desperation for power.
In a widely circulated press conference in the build-up to the 2015 elections, the former Minister warned Buhari to watch his back and stay far away from Tinubu as much as possible and to be wary of his “desperation for power”.
He noted that the “cabals controlling the APC” are only interested in furthering their own pecuniary gains instead of the interests of the Nigerian people.
“This is simple. Given the questionable health status of General Buhari, Senator Tinubu who is desperate to be president for his own selfish reasons will simply buy his time in the evil expectations that General Buhari will not go the whole hog.
“We have deemed it fit to let the whole world know why the leadership of the APC is desperate for power,” he said at a press conference captured in the video.
Since he made the statement, there is no evidence of the outspoken FFK’s retraction especially as he has been appointed head of New Media in the 2023 APC Presidential Campaign Council.
