Presidential candidate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abubakar Atiku has described the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as “unwelcoming and unripe for Nigeria as a democratic state”.
Atiku made the disclosure on Friday during an interview with AriseTV monitored by Quest Times.
When asked to comment on the Muslim-Muslim ticket, the former vice president said; “My fundamental disagreement with Tinubu since 2007 was on the issue of Muslim-Muslim ticket.
“That was my fundamental disagreement and departure politically from Asiwaju.
“Remember, I came out of the PDP on the issue of zoning, and together with Asiwaju, we formed ACN and I was given the ticket in Lagos and Tinubu insisted on being my running mate and I said No.
“I am not going to have a Muslim-Muslim ticket!
