Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is beginning to show signs of apparent mental decline as a result of a series of gaffes he offered in his speech at a function in Owerri, the Imo state capital, last Thursday.
While giving his presentation, he exhibited signs of mental decline as he was quoted making a gibberish statement that has since been doing the rounds on social media.

Not even the Tinubu-owned television station, Television Continental (TVC) which covered the broadcast, could attempt to hide the cognitive or mental decline of the APC presidential candidate. Had they tried it, they would have had to edit out portions of the speech, particularly from 03:45 – 03:49 on their YouTube channel.
“You see the innovation. If we lend ourselves to the innovations, we can create wonders. Here is a successful, again, a town hall different from balabloo bloo blu bulaba,” Tinubu declared on TVC’s live broadcast.
The presidential candidate was probably trying to use the word “hullabaloo” in describing some of his opponents in the 2023 race which led him to express the gibberish “balabloo bloo blu bulaba”.
This is not the first time Tinubu would goof in public.

In July, the APC Presidential Candidate also forgot the name of his party during an interview.
Tinubu was speaking to members of his party in public and almost addressed the APC as “Action Congress.”
However, he was quickly corrected by one of the aides who stood beside him.
In October, he caused a stir online after he said Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has a vision of turning “rotten situation to a bad one.”
The incident had sparked rumours that Tinubu who just returned from London at that time might be suffering from dementia.
He was speaking at the seventh edition of KadInvest, an annual event organised by the Kaduna State Investment Promotion Agency.
“We’re not going to let you run away, your vision, creativity and resiliency in turning a rotten situation to a bad one is necessary at this very critical time. That is why we are here today,” Tinubu told el-Rufai.
Critics of the APC Presidential Candidate have said Tinubu avoids debates in order not to goof.
In a seemingly desperate attempt to water down the incident, the official spokesperson of the APC presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, tweeted “Listen to the sense of humour of @officialABAT. He says he prefers a proper town hall meeting to the gibberish his opponents say elsewhere. He practically demonstrates the gibberish they say by uttering those tongue-twisting words to show the nonsense his opponents say elsewhere.”
