When Tobi Shang said, ‘Small nyash dey shake’ I never thought the day would come when I would use that sentence to refer to Ghanaians.
Wetin dey occur, who provoke you?
You won’t believe this. Shatta Wale woke up, took his bath, sprayed perfume took to stage and said that f#ck all Nigerian artists.
He didn’t stop there. He went on to say that he doesn’t need Nigerian artists to sell out venues.
Just negodu!
If anybody was going to shade Nigerian musicians, I wasn’t expecting that person to come from Ghana.
It’s even more shocking given that I can almost guarantee that you don’t know any song by Shatta Wale.
Given that he made the statement after he sold out a 40,000 seater stadium in Ghana, many thought he was just high.
What we didn’t know is that he was just starting
Then he tweeted: ‘As for Nigerians they think they can always say what they want to say. F*ck your talks. …I don’t even remember you guys promoting Ghanaian artistes in your country. Until u guys will realise your artistes blow in Ghana to say thank you’
That was when all hell broke loose.
If you know Twitter, you’ll know that even on a calm, quiet day, all that is needed is one random poorly thought-through tweet to start an e-inferno.
Nigerians had rushed in and began giving Shatta a piece of their mind.
Trust Nigerians, to tell Ghanaians their life story
But Shatta Wale was only starting.
He gave Nigerians a piece of his mind.
And trust me, it wasn’t pretty
And he didn’t back down till he said what was on his mind

In the midst of all these, a viral tweet of the musician expressing his happiness for getting a Nigerian passport has resurfaced.
Granted, Shatta Wale won this one. Nigerians live to fight another day.
Ghana 1: Nigeria 0
