*Here’s what he’ll be up to while in the city
All things being equal, President Muhammadu Buhari will on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, embark on an official visit to Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital and most populous city, Quest Times can reliably report.
It will be the president’s first official visit to Lagos in the new year and perhaps the penultimate one as he prepares to hand over the reins of the nation’s leadership in May. He is also expected to feature in the final grand finale of the APC presidential rally next month in Lagos before the elections proper.
While in Lagos, the president will commission the Dangote Oil Refinery, Lekki Deep Sea Port, Lagos Blue Light Rail, LSGovt-owned Imota Rice Mill (West Africa’s largest), and the $2.5bn 4th Mainland Bridge flag-off, top Lagos State officials have disclosed to Quest Times.

Quest Times recalls that President Buhari’s last official visit to Lagos State was on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, when he unveiled the plaque inaugurating the Dangote Fertilizer Plant and inspected the Lekki Sea Port.
President Buhari will perhaps officially visit Lagos one last time before he departs office, to commission two key infrastructure projects—the Apapa-Oshodi-Gbagada expressway and the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Both projects are nearing various stages of completion and contractors are hard at work to beat the May 29, 2023 deadline.
