There was mild excitement on Sunday, as the Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Kogi Central, Barr. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan pledged to donate the sum of five million naira to pay the West African Examination Council (WAEC) fees of students in the constituency.
Natasha made this known Sunday during her engagement with students and different groups rooting for her candidature in her country home in Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area, Kogi State.
According to her, the payment is to help parents cushion the burden of paying the WAEC fees of their children in the five local government areas of Kogi Central senatorial district.

The cerebral lawyer also promised to work with students when she gets to the National Assembly and charged them to find solutions to societal challenges through innovative ideas.
“I am doing this as a private citizen, I know it’s not enough but I promise to do more and support the educational development of our people when I get to the Senate,” she said.
Quest Times understands this is not the first time the 43-year-old is supporting the educational development of her people. In 2015, she adopted 600 children in her country home and gave them scholarships for them to have access to quality education.
