Finnish authorities have arrested the de-facto leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa, who is known for his separatist activities.
He was taken into custody at his home in Lahti by plainclothes police officers on Thursday according to Finnish media outlet, Helsingin Sanoma.
A photo of a possibly-handcuffed Ekpa went viral on social media, leading to massive celebrations, with users calling on South-East voters to come out en-masse, seeing as the individual declaring sit-at-home days has been arrested.
