If you are a regular TikTok user, you have probably racked up a ton of likes from your scrolling activities.

Liking a post is a way of showing approval of the content viewed, saving it in order to show someone later. Your likes also help the in-app algorithm influence the content you see going forward.

But for some reason, maybe you don’t want your office colleagues, partner to see what you view, there’s an easy way to hide your TikTok likes.

The following easy steps below will help keep you in control of your TikTok likes

In your TikTok app, move to your profile by tapping ‘me’ in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Tap the three dots icon in the top right corner.

In your settings, tap ‘privacy’.

Scroll down to the ‘safety’ section and find where it says liked videos.

On the next screen you’ll have the option to choose either everyone or only me.

To make your liked videos private, select the ‘only me’ option.
