CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force’s Public Relations Officer, announced their redeployments on Tuesday.
The dismissal of the CPs in Lagos and Adamawa is the main focus of the shake-up, unravelled just days before the presidential elections.
The presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, hail from some of the states affected.
Adebola A. Hamzat (Adamawa), Emeka Frank Mba (Ogun), Suleiman A. Yusuf (Taraba), Idowu Owohunwa (Lagos), and Faleye S. Olaleye (Ebonyi) are the new commissioners.
According to a representative for the Force, the appointments are subject to confirmation by the Police Service Commission (PSC).
