Dr. Ify Aniebo Rhodes-Vivour, the wife of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party’s candidate for governor, criticizes Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the current governor, over the remarks made by Musiliu Akisanya, also known as MC Oluomo, the chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages.
MC Oluomo spoke to his constituents just hours before the election on Saturday, March 18th. In a social media-trending video, MC Oluomo advised them to proceed to the next phase as soon as they realized they were losing.
According to him, if they notice they are losing, they know what to do. He also advised anyone who wouldn’t be voting for his preferred candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to stay at home. “Iya Chukwudi, if you know you no wan vote for us, sidon for your home o”.
Reacting to the video of MC Oluomo making rounds on social media, Dr. Ify Aniebo Rhodes-Vivour fumed at the fact that the former issues threats to voters in the state and goes scot-free.
Ify further noted that this isn’t the first time MC Oluomo issues threat to people. Lashing out at Governor Sanwo-Olu, the scientist asked him to call the area boys popularly known as thugs or Agbero to order.
Tagging the incumbent Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, Ify asked him to do his job.
She tweeted: “This man can confidently threaten voters because he is state backed. This isn’t the first video of him threatening voters but somehow, he still has not been arrested. @jidesanwoolu call your thugs to order. This is a democracy not a dictatorship. @BenHundeyin do your job!”
