President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) for winning the Osun State governorship election.
Fondly called ‘Dancing Politician’ for his silky smooth, effervescent and eccentric dance moves, Adeleke, 62, polled a total of 403,371 votes to defeat incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC), who bagged 375,027 votes to emerge 2nd.
“I congratulate Senator Ademola Adeleke, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), on his victory in the Osun gubernatorial election. The people of Osun have expressed their will through the ballot,” President Buhari tweeted.
