Following the ongoing nationwide strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has blocked roads leading to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
The students who defied the heavy downpour, caused gridlock on the road leading to the airport, leaving many travellers stranded.
Operatives from the Lagos State Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Lagos Airport Police Command, and other security agencies are on the ground to forestall a breakdown of law and order.
The protesting students carried placards and chanted Aluta songs to register their displeasure over the actions of the Federal Government.
