Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Austin Okai has emerged as the flagbearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for Dekina Bassa Federal Constituency.

Okai, who defeated his closest rival, Emmanuel Omebije with 28 to 16 votes to pick the PDP ticket for the constituency, took to his social media handle on Monday to make the announcement.

“I have just been elected as PDP candidate for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency for the 2023 general election. Thanks for the prayer,” he wrote.
