Brentford’s brilliant first-half display saw them earn a shock 4-0 win against a rudderless Man United, with the Red Devils sitting in 20th place yet to register a point.
The Bees were ruthless in the first half, with Dasilva opening the scoring just 10 minutes in when his shot slipped through De Gea’s hands. Jensen also punished a mistake at the back, latching onto a loose touch to slot it home. New signing, Ben Mee headed in from a corner for his goal, before Mbuemo finished off a lightning-quick counter.
Despite dominating possession and fielding Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho, United failed to effectively threaten offensively throughout the game.
Following the shock result, disgruntled fans took to Twitter to lament, having to deal with brutal banter from rival fans as well. While others marvelled at how bad things have gotten at Man United.
Here are some tweets gathered by The Quest Times;
@Zubairthedream Nobody criticised Eriksen for that ball but when it was Pogba and Fred in that same position, they were absolutely torn apart. Beauty bias strikes again

@QueenExtha Manchester United plays Liverpool next. Lol.
@biolakazeem United had the perfect manager. Had started instead of supporting him, ex-players who felt entitled to the job/access to the manager started a virulent agenda, invalidated every win/trophies & claimed that Shaw, Martial, Pogba & Rashford’s happiness was more important. Here we are.
@AsiwajuLerry If you’re already feeling sorry for Man United, remember their next game is Liverpool.
@Joshua_Ubeku Ronaldo cannot even blame Man United for anything. There was no offer from anybody. He offered himself to every club playing in the Champions League and they ALL rejected him.
@UTDTrey We don’t deserve this suffering man
@_Ortodox Eriksen never see this kind thing before. Make the heart no go Dey beat fast o
@Ifeanyi_Nwak – Time and time again, the problem with Man United is making too many individual mistakes. They’re not generally playing badly today but they’ve conceded avoidable goals. It’s too easy for opponents. Lots of new signings needed. At least 10 new players.
