APC presidential primary: ‘Hard-fought contest’, Atiku congratulates Tinubu

Presidential candidate on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the standard bearer of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.

Atiku, in a post on his verified Twitter Wednesday, commended Tinubu for his tenacity and doggedness.

“Congratulations, @officialABAT, on your emergence as your party’s presidential candidate. It has been a hard-fought contest, but that you prevailed confirms your tenacity. -AA,” he wrote.

Tinubu defeated his closest contenders former minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi (316), Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (235), Senate President Ahmad Lawan (152), and Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello (47), to clinch the party’s ticket.
