APC Arewa Concern Forum (ACOF) has dissociated itself from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign activities.
This was disclosed in a statement jointly signed and released by the group’s National Chairman, Comr. Bello Lawan Isa and the Secretary, Comr. Muhd. Sadis Suleiman.
The group, in the statement obtained by Quest Times and dated 27th of December, dissociated itself from all activities related to APC and Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign activities in the 36 states, including FCT, until further notice.
ACOF affirmed that it will soon address an international press conference on the issue.
The statement partly reads; “APC Arewa Concern Forum (ACOF) APC/NHDQ/APC-ASS/67/021/09 disassociate itself from all activities related to APC and Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign activities in the 36 states including FCT until further notice.
“The aforementioned Organizations, which is an amalgamation of 200 Support Groups influencers of the ruling party (APC) from the 36 states in Nigeria, has resolved to dissociate itself from giving 6Million Votes to Tinubu/Shettima in 2023 general election. This is a consequence of total disregard of its affairs by the APC at the National body.
“The announcement was made today 27th December 2022 after a General meeting with Support Groups in Kaduna.
“The groups also wish to inform the general public that it will soon address international press conference in this regard,” the statement added.
The APC Arewa Media Influencers had in November suspended all activities showing support for APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
The group is an encapsulated forum of all media influencers of the APC in the 19 Northern States.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of the group, Rabiu Biyora, and its secretary, Khalid Ibrahim Angale on Monday.
According to the statement, the decision was made today in Kano State during an emergency meeting.
The group further said it would address an international press conference soon.
