Undefeated Boxing heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has called off the highly anticipated fight with fellow Brit, Anthony Joshua, over the latter’s failure to meet the deadline for signing the contract.
Reeling from his successive defeats where he lost his belts to Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua was handed a lifeline when Fury in an Instagram post, challenged his rival to a fight, offering him two options, November 26, 2022, at Wembley Stadium or December 3, 2022, at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
Anthony Joshua in a response through his management, picked the Cardiff option, throwing the boxing world into anticipation, going on to dub the fight Battle of The Brits.

Fed up with the lack of response on signing the fight’s contract from Joshua’s Camp, Fury on Saturday, September 25, 2022, issued an ultimatum saying his rival had until 5pm on Monday, September 26, 2022, to sign the contract or forget the fight.
“We’ll know by Monday anyway, because if it’s not done by Monday then I’m moving on. I’m not waiting around for some guy who’s lost three of his last five fights, he’s lucky that I’m giving him a world title shot,” Fury said.

In light of Joshua’s failure to sign the contract, Fury in an expletive-laden Instagram post, called off the fight, calling Joshua a coward for not signing.
This is official, D-Day has come and gone, it’s gone past 5 o clock, Monday, no contract has been signed, it’s officially over for Joshua, he’s now out in the cold with the wolfpack.
