The Third Ministerial Performance Review Retreat of the Muhammadu Buhari administration wrapped up on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, after three days of meetings.
The retreat was an opportunity for the administration to speak on its achievements, successes and policies.
During the programme, President Buhari, Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, and CDS Irabor regaled Nigerians and guests on the gains made by the administration.

Nigeria Air to soar in December 2022
The long-awaited, highly-anticipated national carrier, Nigeria Air is 91% complete and will resume operations according to President Muhammadu Buhari.
“In line with the outcome of the panel session on Priority 4 (Improve Transportation and Other Infrastructure), the ministry of aviation is hereby directed to conclude and ensure the take-off of the National Carrier Project before the end of the year.”
Lagos, Abuja International Airports certified by ICAO, Kano, PH undergoing certification processes

According to President Buhari, the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has certified the Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano and the Port-Harcourt International Airport are currently undergoing the certification process.
ICAO certification indicates that an Airport has met the minimum required operational and safety standards in its operation.
Nigerian Air Force beefs up arsenal with 38 new aircrafts, 36 more on their way
President Buhari revealed that the Nigerian Airforce has bolstered its arsenal with 38 brand-new aircrafts, while another 36 are on their way.
The Nigerian Airforce has been on top of its game, taking out militants and terrorists in the war on insecurity. The new arrivals will surely boost morale for the NAF and strike fear into the hearts of terrorists.
Buhari signs Executive Order 12
President Buhari signed Executive Order No 12 in a bid to improve transparency and accountability in Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA).
Speaking on the EO, he tweeted, “Today, I signed Presidential Executive Order 12, on Improving Performance Management, Coordination & Implementation of Presidential Priorities of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Our goal is to institutionalize a culture of accountability & transparency in our service delivery.”
Tinubu and Osinbajo still chummy
Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu and Vice President Osinbajo showed there’s no bad blood between them as speculated in some quarters.
Osinbajo and Tinubu had a private meeting on Day 2 of the retreat, with photos of the two deep in talks, going viral during the week.

6 million households set to get pre-paid meters
Some Nigerian households will finally get respite from the dreaded estimated billing, as Vice President Yemi Osinbajo confirmed that 6 million households are set to get pre-paid meters.
He said, “The National Mass Metering Programme being financed by CBN has created 10,000 jobs and distributed 1 million meters and is establishing a structure to meter an additional 6 million households and sustainably eliminate the metering gap.
Nigeria has recorded 7 consecutive quarters of economic growth
The Nigerian economy is gradually stabilising, as it has recorded growth in 7 consecutive quarters. President Buhari made the statement on Day 1 of the 3rd Ministerial Retreat on Monday, October 17, 2022.
He said, “The GDP grew by 3.54% (year-on-year) in real terms in the 2nd Quarter of 2022. This growth rate represents a sustained positive economic performance, especially for the Non-Oil GDP which fell by 4.77 per cent in Q2 2022 against Oil GDP which grew by -11.77 per cent.
“Most sectors of the economy recorded positive growth which reflects the effective implementation of the economic sustainability measures introduced by this administration,” he said.
