The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has pledged to provide “logistics support” for the campaigns of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Wike made this known to the LP flag-bearer in Port Harcourt, the state capital, at the venue of the Nkpolu-Oroworokwo Flyover inauguration on Thursday.
“Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you,” Wike told Obi.
He added; “Obi worked very well in Anambra; those fighting you are envying you and it is ‘bad belle’.”
Quest Times reports that Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed were in the state capital to commission the 9th flyover by the present administration under the leadership of Governor Wike. They were excitedly received by a large crowd of their supporters known as ‘Obidients’.
Wike had vowed to work against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Abubakar Atiku in 2023 over the rejection of Iyorchia Ayu to step down as the party’s National Chairman.
