The Labour Party, LP, presidential flag-bearer, Peter Obi, has called on Nigerians to vote for a leader “who has conscience and trust” ahead of the 2023 elections.
Obi made the clarion call when he visited the Assemblies of God Church’s Annual Peniel held at the Church’s Evangel Camp in Ebonyi on Tuesday.
The programme, being held at the church’s headquarters, was to seek God’s face for the congregation’s progress and the good of society, with the hashtag Peniel 2022.

In his words, Peter Obi called on the church not to shy away from politics as they have always done in the past, while urging the congregants to examine all the candidates vying for elective positions before making their choices in 2023.
“I’m not asking you to vote Peter Obi but to scrutinise all those that are offering themselves for election. Put all of us on a scale, let’s know who we are.
“Don’t vote for me because I’m from the East. Do not vote for me because I’m an Igbo man or vote for anybody because he is from the West or the North. This is time to vote for a human being who has conscience and trust,” he said.
