Veteran Nigerian singer Daddy Showkey has pleaded with the Igbos to be united for once, following the emergence of Digar Ezenwafor as a factional presidential candidate in the Labour Party’s primary election.
Earlier, there were widely circulated reports that a faction of the Labour Party (LP) led by Calistus Uju Okafor on Wednesday, June 8, elected Chief Digar Ezenwafor as its presidential candidate in Abuja.
Reacting, Daddy Showkey via his Instagram handle on Thursday pleaded with Igbos to support themselves for once.

The veteran singer further urged them to be united and not allow anyone to use their people against themselves.
He mentioned that if Ezenwafor was wise, he would step down for Peter Obi for the greater good of the Igbos and Nigerians.
”Igbos, I want you people to be united this time, why is that they use people against yourselves?
“Anytime we call Igbo out for disunity, people will say we don’t know what we are saying.
“You people have a long way to go,” he wrote.
