Ahead of the 2023 presidential campaign slated for September 28, three notable Northern governors are said to have indicated serious interest to back the ambition of Peter Obi.
This was made known on Friday, September 23, by Kayode Ajulo, a human rights activist, when he spoke with journalists in Abuja, according to The Cable report.
Ajulo, however, did not mention the names of the three (3) Northern governors backing the Labour Party flag-bearer.

“I am aware of three governors from the north who have given indications to support him,” he disclosed.
“I will still say Peter Obi is not ready to be president, because he is not ready to cross River Niger and even River Owena,” he added.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi visited Kano on Saturday in preparation for the presidential campaign expected to kick-start later this month.
One of the Labour Party chieftains, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, confirmed the development in a series of tweets on Friday.
